MY HOME TOWN
BY: HARRIET R. SMITH
ON the Long Beach peninsula
In the state of Washington,
By the Pacific Ocean
Where the salmon run
Are many home towns.
FIRST is old Chinookville
Now shortened to Chinook,
Full of busy people,
on the over look
NEXT comes old Ilwaco,
Where everyone is gay
With it`s fleet of fishing boats,
All docked on Bakers Bay
Next in line is Seaview,
A lovely little place
With familiesand tourists,
With smiles on every face
Next is famous Long Beach,
Where tourists flock at will,
It`s old time shops and rides,
Give everyone a thrill
BETWEEN the ocean and Loomis Lake,
Is a place that`s called Tides West,
In my cozy home; "SMITH HAVEN"
Is the place that I love best
OCEAN Park is famous,
For the tender razor clam
No matter where you go,
The`re the best in all the land
THER`S a cozy little village,
Where happy children play
It`s lil` `ole Nehcotta,
On Willapaw Bay
FARTHER down the bay,
Where oysters grow at will
IS a sleepy little village,
It`s Historic Oysterville
ON the north end,
Living beside the tide
Some people got together,
And named it Surfside.
